Patrick Sergi (Murrami)

Initially established in Spring of 2023, two similar paddocks become the MIA Focus Site at Patrick Sergi’s property.

During CY24 and CY25, Patrick experienced yield improvements, in CY25 achieving a yield of 17t/ha in some areas, although other areas harvest less that 13t/ha.

The disparity in results was a key talking point during Reference Group discussions, particularly about the impact of over or under fertilisation of crops.

The MIA group use tools such as AI, the Rice Dashboard, yield maps and Drone NDVI imagery to make management decisions, particularly when considering pre-PW Nitrogen rates.
